Why add risers

  • No digging to find and uncover the lids
  • Faster, cheaper pumping
  • Easy inspections and filter cleaning
  • You always know where the tank is

What's installed

  1. Locate and uncover the tank openings
  2. Attach and seal riser sections to the tank
  3. Bring them to just at or above ground level
  4. Install secure, child-resistant lids
  5. Backfill and grade around them

Safety

Septic tanks are dangerous to fall into or enter. Lids must be secured, undamaged and fastened. Never go into a tank.

Septic questions

Can risers be added to an old tank?

Usually, as long as the tank is in good condition.

Do risers let smells out?

Properly sealed lids keep odors in.

Should I add risers when the tank is pumped?

That's a great time — the tank is already uncovered.
